JOB TITLE: Spare Parts Warehouse Operative
REEPORTING TO: Spare Parts Manager
WORKING HOURS: (Core hours) 36hrs per week.
Monday-Thursday: 8:00-16:30 Friday: 8:00-12:00
JOB PURPOSE:
To despatch spare parts for a variety of products to a worldwide customer base, using a number of different methods.
THE ROLE:
Pick and pack parts suitable for shipment to the intended destination paying special attention to fragile electronics, unpainted parts and delicate machined parts such as gears.
• Take photographs of the packing stage, suitable to use as evidence in the event damage or missing items are reported.
• Control stocks via the ‘Fast Track’ system for internal transfers and external despatches.
• Continually monitor spares store to ensure parts are located in the appropriate location and that locations match the computer.
• Store new spares stock in the appropriate location identified on the computer system.
• Basic kitting / assembly of sub-assembly parts prior to despatch, where necessary.
• Despatch of goods via freight carrier / courier service when required.
• Any other duties as may be required by the business from time to time.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate would –
• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Possess a current license for FLT and pedestrian controlled stacker trucks and overhead cranes.
• Be computer literate and have experience of Street ‘Fast Track’ systems and online courier booking sites.
• Have a good disposition and a positive can-do attitude.
• Be able to show self-motivation and the ability to work in a team.
